Love Letters (2024)

Over two weeks I turned the space and structure of the Rabbit and Tiger gallery into a sketchbook, drawing-drawing attention to its ecologies and reworking pieces as I inhabit the space.

Curator, Lee Chaewon writes:
"Seoul, is a city surrounded by mountains at every corner. In this city, nature and urban life are always intertwined. In Becky Lyon’s solo exhibition “Love Letters,” the artist explores the subtle layers that operate between the fusion of the city and nature through a series of objects. Becky peels away the superficial boundaries that dichotomously separate the city and nature, breaking them down to explore their essence. This exhibition aims to heal the gap between nature and culture, to re-enchant the urban ecology, and to foster a ritual of valuing nature more deeply. Becky’s love letters will be conveyed to you not only through visual expressions but also through various senses including scent, sound, and tactile sensations".
