…offering experimental sensory re-sensitisation workshops…
Leaf Hearing Blue, Moss Tickling a Soil (2021) is an art-research project exploring how exercising our sensuous being might foster closer and more care-full relationships with ecology. How might recognising the abilities of other sensing beings inspire us to exercise our own sense-able being?; re/discover ways to meet the more-than-human?; imagine how multi-species make co-flourishing worlds?
I hosted three sensory workshops in the pocket urban woodland of Phytology, Bethnal Green:
More-Than-Human Dialogues: Gathering, Line-Wandering, Assembling inviting people to take our attention for a walk, sensing, gathering, assembling and line-wandering. We’ll gently experiment with dialogues between ourselves, our material and more-than-human.
A Creaturely Morning (Re)Sensitisation inviting people to start the day with a gentle session to re-awaken our creaturely being and reanimate the body as we practice phyto-morphing our static moments, play with being-beings and heighten our tuning for the day.
A Sensory Tuning Walk exploring how our bodies are tuned for relationship and shaped to the land. We’ll detect scented signals, listen like a leaf, greet trees in our own words, explore gestures of gratitude and register atomic connections.
