Warm Little (Pixel) Pond 2019

Warm Little (Pixel) Pond is a cyclical loop of sound and moving image distilling processes of life making. It imagines a future where techno-matter provides the raw material for new forms of life. Digital organisms are crafted in CMYK pixels yet at the same time resemble familiar organic species. Barely animate, save for discrete breath-like expansions and contractions, the consistent and nourishing bubble of its ‘warm little pond’ soundtrack is punctuated with bursts (of mutation? division? revelation? metamorphosis?) hinting at a cyclical loop of continuous creation.
