Award: Jerwood Arts x 101 Outdoor Centre
I feel very fortunate to have been selected for one of five spots on the inaugural Jerwood Arts x 101 Outdoor Centre Artist Development Award. Over two years, I will be supported to transform my facilitating practice into experiences and installations for outdoor environments be it national parks, lost pockets of brownfield or arts festivals. 101 Outdoor Centre is the largest facility of its kind in the UK supporting the production and rehearsal of the outdoor arts industry. Crucially for me, it is situated on Greenham Common - a site deeply resonant with my own practice concerning power structures and access-to and narratives-of ecologies. I will be using the time to test and exhibit ideas with the incredible support of Danielle Corbishley; Simon Chatterton and Bettina Linstrum. My fellow four artists are astonishing and generous practitioners Philip Ewe; Pei-Chi Lee; Daisy Faircluff; Jamal O’Driscoll and Addae G. More to come!
